Do you look at a book on weaving patterns and don't knw where to start, or how to ake a pattern repeat in a weaving draft (pattern) and expand that to make a coherent plan to weave a project? Using Margeurite Davison's books we will walk step-by-step through the parts of a draft, how to graph the pattern that emerges from the interaction of the threading of heddles and the treadling of harnesses (drawdowns), and how to take one part of a draft and mathematically expand your threading so that it becomes a tea towel or blanket draft that is easy to follow. If we have enough time we will take one draft and enlarge it to create a complete draft for your next project.
