  • NYhandweaver@gmail.com Guilderland, New York United States (map)

Want to perfect your Krokbragd technique using affordable materials? Here’s your chance!

Krokbragd is Norwegian for Crooked Path. It is a 3-harness, weft-faced weave structure that uses multiple shuttles of different colored weft to create wonderful geometric patterns. You will weave 0ne or more 12” wide samplers on my sturdy rug looms. Drafted patterns will help you to design on the loom until you begin to design while weaving. You will work on creating pleasing edges and perfecting your beat. On the last day you will learn how to finish the back of your weaving and secure the ends. Please note this class will only accommodate 4 students.

Looms will be warped in the warp color you choose prior to the class. Warp yarn and pre-warping is included in the cost of the class. Students bring their own “rag” for weft, which must be the correct lengths and pre-washed according to class preparation instructions from the Instructor.
