Weaving on 4-harness looms looks intimidating, but if you just take one step at a time you can master it quite simply. In this class for beginners or returning students who need basic skills refreshing, we will read drafts, calculate our yarn requirements, wind warps and dress our looms in either tabby (plain weave) or a balanced twill threading. Students will weave a scarf with yarns they have chosen prior to the class. I work with students ahead of the class to come up with a plan so that we start immediately to work on the first morning. Workshops are held from 9:30 am to 4 pm in 3 full days that are separated to give you extra time to weave independently in our studio during the week. You will learn to warp on a warping board or mill, beam on, thread your heddles and sley your reed, and then proceed to weave and finish your beautiful and useful project. https://www.ceceswool.com/events-and-classes/
